The commune has a population of approx. 5,400 residents. In 1837, Zdrój Solecki was entered into the register of Polish health resorts and this record opens the history of the spa. A beautiful spa park with a unique tree stand and picturesquely incorporated into its landscape, the Rzoska River create a unique place, created for treatment and relaxation. In the Solec-Zdrój commune you can visit, among others, Szaniecki Landscape Park. In addition to the magnificent landscape, a visit to Solec Zdrój promises a specific microclimate characterized by many hours of sunshine and low rainfall during the year.
When in Solec-Zdrój, it worth visiting the historic church of St. Nicholas with a crucifix from the 16th-17th century, a Renaissance tombstone of Samuel Zborowski, a wooden church in Świniary dating back to the 12th century and the Palace in Zborów – originally from the 16th-17th century Renaissance. (house of the magnate Zborowski family).
Currently, there are two springs of therapeutic water in Solec Zdrój: chloride-iodide-sodium-bromide-sulphide brine, which we simply call sulphide water. High sulphur concentration and high mineralization make it the strongest healing water of this type in the world. It has a high medicinal value used primarily in diseases of the movement organs, rheumatic and orthopedic – of which the Busko spa sanatoriums have been known for centuries.
